Board of Directors
Members of the Board of Directors and our investment professionals are chosen for their high academic and professional qualifications, diversity, skills and experience with local and international financial matters, as well as for their integrity and honesty. Diversity is taken into consideration in determining the optimum composition of the Board of Directors.

Andreas Papacharalambous - Non Executive Chairman
Andreas Papacharalambous studied at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (B.A. (Athens). Since 1976 he has been practising law in Nicosia where he co-founded Papacharalambous & Angelides LLC in 1983. In October 2014 he had joined Koushos & Korfiotis LLC and had formed a new scheme, namely Koushos, Korfiotis Papacharalambous LLC, in which he is currently a senior partner. Andreas deals with all areas of law and is in charge of the overall administration of the office as well as maintaining contacts with overseas clients. He particularly specialises in listing Companies on the Cyprus Stock Exchange. Amongst many positions held, he was appointed President of the Cyprus Athletics Organisation (KOA) from 2000 to 2003. Andreas has also lectured in Constitutional Law and Political Sciences at various colleges in Nicosia, Cyprus. Andreas has been a member of the Cyprus Bar Association Committee, which he has represented at an international level.
Nicos Hadjiioseph - Non-executive Director
Nicos Hadjiiosif studied Accounting and Finance (BSc) at the Polytechnic of Central London and has an MSc in Accounting from the London School of Economics. He commenced his career in Hellenic Bank as Credit Officer. He currently serves as Director in Hadjiioseph, Zapites & Asprides Ltd, Soph. Hadjiioseph Ktimatiki Ltd and Gladiotus Estates Ltd.
Nicolas Papacostas - Managing Director
Nicolas Papacostas is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He has an MBA degree in Financial Services from Saint John’s University in New York USA. He has over 27 years of experience in investment analysis and investment management fields. He commenced his career in 1992 as an Investments Manager at Interamerican Insurance Co. Ltd. In 1996 he joined Severis & Athienitis Securities Ltd as a financial analyst and securities broker. In 2002 he was appointed Executive Director of the Company. He is a registered stockbroker representative of the Cyprus Stock Exchange and Athens Stock Exchange. He is a certified professional by the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission for the services of portfolio management, investment advice, dealing and execution of financial instruments, underwriting of financial instruments, management and marketing of UCITS and AIFs.
Charidemos Charidemou – Deputy Managing Director
Charidemos Charidemou studied Accounting and Finance at the University of Carbondale in the United States and holds an MBA degree in Finance. He has over 29 years of experience in investment management and securities brokerage fields. He commenced his career as a Sales Manager in Coopers & Lybrands (now PwC). In 1996, he co-founded Benchmark Securities Ltd with CDB Bank and served as an Executive Director until 1999. Mr. Charidemou currently serves as an Executive Director of the Company, which he co-founded in 2000. He is a certified professional by the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission for the services of portfolio management, investment advice, dealing and execution of financial instruments, underwriting of financial instruments, management and marketing of UCITS and AIFs.
Savvas Kalorkotis, Investment Advisor
Savvas is a holder of BA in Business Administration and has an MBA in Risk Management & Finance from Saint’s John University of New York. He is also a holder of ARM (Associate in Risk Management) certificate. He worked in the insurance industry for 5 years as head of sales support department. He joined MegaEquity in 2001 as a stockbroker. He is a certified professional by the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission for the services of portfolio management, investment advice, dealing and execution of financial instruments, underwriting of financial instruments, management and marketing of UCITS and AIFs.
Marios Salides, Investment Advisor
Marios has worked at Barclays Bank Plc as Currency Broker, Head of the Treasury Department. Once Cyprus Operations of Barclays were acquired by Hellenic Bank he worked at Hellenic Investments Ltd. In 2002 worked as the Head of Capital Markets at Egnatia Financial Services Cyprus Ltd. He works with the Company since 2007. He is a certified professional by the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission for the services of portfolio management, investment advice, dealing and execution of financial instruments, underwriting of financial instruments, management and marketing of UCITS and AIFs.
Marios Ioannides, Reception and Transmission of Orders for Financial Instruments
Marios has an IB Diploma in Finance and holds a BSc in Business Management & Finance. He has previous work experience in the UK with Risk Assessing, Portfolio Management and Financial Analyzing. He joined Mega Equity in January 2019 as a securities broker and RTS officer in the client’s reception & transmission of orders unit.
Antonis Stavrou, Chief Operating Officer
Antonis holds a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Monetary and Financial Economics. He joined Mega Equity in November 2013 as a securities broker and financial analyst. Since November 2018 he is the Chief Operating Officer of the Company. He is a certified professional by the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission for the services of portfolio management, investment advice, dealing and execution of financial instruments, underwriting of financial instruments, management and marketing of UCITS and AIFs.
